“It is morning in America. Good morning, welcome back. I’ve had a zillion talks and lectures around the country and had a lot of fun—always enjoyed them. I never had as enjoyable an evening as I had at Grove City. Hosted by Paul Kengor, professor of political science and executive director of The Center for Vision & Values. He will remember, he played some videos of President Reagan and me that I had never seen before … I can barely talk. It was a great, great evening, and I will never forget it. Paul, welcome to ‘Morning on America.’”
On the 25th anniversary of Ronald Reagan’s historic Brandenburg Gate speech, the executive director of The Center for Vision & Values at Grove City College—Dr. Paul Kengor—joined bestselling author, commentator, talk show host, and President Reagan’s secretary of education—Dr. Bill Bennett—on his “Morning in America” radio show. To introduce the discussion of Reagan’s June 12, 1987 “Tear Down This Wall” speech, Dr. Bennett referred to the Center’s Fifth Annual Ronald Reagan Lecture, which he delivered on the campus of Grove City College to mark the centennial celebration of Reagan’s birth. Concluding this morning’s interview, Dr. Bennett again recognized Dr. Kengor’s scholarship on the legacy of our nation’s 40th president: “Paul this is great; your work is great. Continue your wonderful work at the Center and at Grove City. We admire you very much.”
