On Thursday, April 25, 2019, Dr. David Ayers spoke at the Westminster Presbyterian Church in Lancaster, PA. Sponsored by the Pennsylvania Family Institute and the Institute for Faith & Freedom, Ayers draws on the Scriptures, historical Christian doctrine, social history, and empirical social science to show the design of marriage and the benefits of marriage for all humans, regardless of their religious convictions. Ayers argues that the Church will only be successful in building its own marriages and addressing the cultural confusion and breakdown that exists outside it by rooting itself once again in a full-bodied, accurate understanding of God’s definition of, and purposes for, marriage.
