The Institute for Faith and Freedom hosts an Annual Conference on the beautiful campus of Grove City College every April. The two-day conference provides a forum for education and discussion for the future generation of American leaders along with over 200 guests.
Over the years, the conference has explored issues such as: communism and socialism, the American family, citizenship, media, freedom of conscience, World War I, and more. The conference features original white papers and lectures from many Grove City College faculty as well as lectures from prominent scholars and national thought leaders. Former speakers have included: Jonah Goldberg, Rick Santorum, Ryan Anderson, Robbie George, Michael Medved, and many more.
The Institute also invites current students to attend the conference via a 1-credit course that allows Grove City College students to attend the lecture, participate in class, and discuss the subject matter with faculty. We invite you to join us at our next conference and to view the archives of our past conferences.
“America at 250: Our Exceptional Roots”
Thursday, April 16, 2026
Grove City College
The year 2026 is special for Grove City College and for America. For the college, founded in 1876, it’s our 150th anniversary. A century before, in 1776, America was founded. The nation now celebrates its 250th anniversary. The birth of America was a seminal moment in history, and a great victory for faith, freedom, and humanity—for life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. Join us this April 16 as we at the Institute for Faith & Freedom mark the founding of this blessed country conceived in liberty. If we don’t pass along these precepts to the next generation, then Americans will fail to know what made America special. What made us a Shining City on a Hill.
The speakers for our conference will include Dr. Matthew Spalding of Hillsdale College and the Heritage Foundation speaking on his new book, The Making of the American Mind: the Story of Declaration of Independence, Michael Medved on his book and film, The American Miracle: Divine Providence in the Rise of the Republic, Dr. Gary Scott Smith on the faith of the founders, Dr. Paul Kengor on the founders and slavery, Dr. Jay Cost on James Madison and the Constitution, Dr. Joe Loconte on Dr. Benjamin Rush, “The Revolution’s Indispensable Doctor,” new Grove City College President Brad Lingo, and talented student filmmaker and rising star, William Hearn, debuting his new documentary work on the American dream.
We are looking forward to seeing you in April to celebrate 250 years of what has made America truly exceptional.
